Projects proposed to be included in the Revised Annual
Development Programme-2005-2006:
1. Credit Programme for Medium Scale ( 6-19 looms) Units :
  Working capital will be provided as loan to the medium scale weavers (6-19 looms) under this project for running their inoperative looms. If the project is implemented successfully, about 2000 medium scale weavers will be benefited. As a result the production of the handloom fabrics will be increased. This will enhance their income and will also improve their socio-economic condition.
2. Specialized Handloom Products (Lungi) Development Pally, Keranigonj :
  This project has been proposed to rehabilitate about 500 weavers family by establishing a lungi pally at Keranigonj, Dhaka on a land consisting of 20 acres. The investment cost of the project is about Tk. 150.00 million. If the project is implemented successfully, the weavers of the Lungi Pally will be able to carryout their business in a fair environment and will be able to enhance their income. Such enhancement will improve thier socio-economic condition.
3. Establishment of Chadar Pally at Bogra & Kurigram:
  The project has been proposed to establish two Chadar Pallys, one at Bogra and another at Kurigram with a view to providing residential-cum-industrial plot to 1000 weavers family (500 for each Pally) for production of handloom chadars. If the project is implemented successfully, the weavers familly will be able to increase their production which will help them to improve their socio-economic condition.
4.
Establishment of Training, Design and Marketing & Display Center for Development of Munipuri Handlooms:
  For modern design, development of skillness is essentially required for the Munipuri weavers. So, the above named project has been taken to implement. To create institutional marketing system, a handloom marketing-cum-display Center will also be set up in Sylhet. Besides, a training centre will also be established under this project.
